My son and his finance came from Chicago and we wanted a traditional seafood place with a view if Narragansett Bay. The Lobster Pot filled the requirement! There were 14 of us and the staff was excellent and we sat in full view of the water. Everyone loved their entree. The lobster roll was... read more

My wife and I were on our boat along with one of our grandchildren. It was around lunchtime so we anchored in Bristol and took the dinghy into The Lobster Pot where we tied up and walked to the deck. Delightful lunch and a great view. I thought the selections were a bit pricey for lunch but I suppose the... More

Dined with a group of 8 people. Waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. All orders were delivered at same time. Tables well positioned so as to feel comfortable, and well appointed. Expansive view of Narragansett Bay a real draw. Has been in business for years, and is a well known spot for a special event.

We stopped here for dinner on the recommendation of a friend. We wanted laid back, and we wanted lobster! The view from the restaurant is serene and beautiful. You can see across to Newport, and you can watch the boats. On some days, there is an outdoor patio for diners. We ordered the special, a salad with lobster and prime... More

We started with a dozen Little Neck Clams, followed by Calamari, both very good. We tried the Lobster Bisque and Clam Chowder, excellent. The salads were also quite good. The stuffed lobster was great, filled with crab and scallops, and the claw meat. Our server was attentive and friendly. A terrific dinner with good friends from Providence.

I have been going to the Lobster Pot for many years. Feels like family. From lunches on the outdoor patio to a cocktail at the bar. Dinners. Love, love the view. I've eaten a good number of the meals.

My spouse and I stopped in here on a whim while visiting family on Father's Day. When my husband inquired if it was boiled or steamed we almost left bc he grew up only eating them steamed and I encouraged him to try it after the waitress assured him it was good. We both ordered a 2 lb lobster and... More

First time I have been back to the 'Lobster Pot" in many, many years. Unfortunately, not much has changed. The owners apparently think an upgrade of decor, food presentation or menu selection is not a necessary for increasing prices. I dine out, in the Newport, Bristol County (Both RI & MA) two to three times a week, the Lobster Pot... More

The view enhanced the food. If you are a tourist to NE you should enjoy this restaurant. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She made good recommendations with the exception of the Indian Pudding.. too much molasses. The water girl kept our water glasses filled. We shared an order of casino which were average. Our oysters were... More
