Hospitality was amazing! But first, I need to confirm the room, in this lovely B&B, was wonderfully vintage, certainly spacious, very classy, and absolutely convenient. Included in our king room was a small wall-mounted TV, ample outlets, A/C, and critical free WiFi. Although desired was a small room refrigerator ... we made due with a central one and ice from... The location could not be beat! In the most charming historical district (with parking) and only a couple of blocks to shopping and the harbor. The owner and his son were very attentive, ensuring we had what we needed for our room as well as for dinner recommendations and running routes. We had a one night stay and spent much... More

Up for a night with my family in Newport. The Inn itself was quite charming. Had a colonial feel and bed was comfortable. We signed up for a 9 o'clock breakfast. When we arrived at 9 we were told, by the owner, that there were no tables available and that perhaps a time slot, 10 or later, would be more... More

I love the feel of Newport's history. I have been in Newport many times. Was there on business and really only sleeping in the room so I decided to stay in a B&B to get the colonial feel. Researched a lot of inn's and B&B's. This group of B&B's came up on Clarke Street and saw that the location was... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. I apologize for the state of the carpeting in your room. We have replaced the carpeting in the hallways. That room is the only room in the building with carpeting and we have plans to replace it in the near future. However, in the meantime, it should and... More

My wife and I spent two nights in the at the Admiral Farragut Inn and had a wonderful time. The Inn complex is located in a perfect spot for walking to all the neat places in the heart of Newport. We did not have to move our car once we arrived and were able to walk everywhere. The people working... More

My wife and I spent two nights in the Cleveland House of the Admiral Farragut Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as the staff was very courteous attending to our needs and answering any questions we had about getting around Newport. We had a nice room on the second floor with a comfortable king-size bed and spacious bathroom. Although the... More

Upon arriving to the hotel we were given the choice of two rooms. We chose the one with the larger bathroom. The owner was very nice and accommodating. There is a door that is scraped and not painted but it looks like it belongs with the building. The building is old and if it was my hotel I would keep... More

Rough week, wife and I decided we had to get away. A quick check of TA and the decision was made to head south to Newport, RI. A quick call to the Admiral Farragut Inn put me in touch with Rick. Rick immediately struck me as a straightforward, down to earth person. He explained what they had available, made some... More

You don't have to believe my review. Just ask to see the room before you give the guy your credit card at check in. If you don't, stay at your own risk. The people that gave this place 5 stars are either being paid or have never stayed in an establishment with any kind of service. Our room was in... More
